I have performed at more than 1000 weddings in the last 25 years.
Below you will find the things brides and grooms most regret about their wedding day:
🌼 1. Not having a trial with your hair and makeup artist before the wedding day.
🌼 2. Not joining the Drinks Reception and not mingling with your guests.
🌼 3. Not eating any of your wedding food! 🍲
🌼 4. Not hiring a wedding planner so your family and friends can actually be present and enjoy the day!
🌼 5. Not pre organising a photo shot list to ensure key moments are captured (eg., reactions, family photos, group shots, etc).
🌼 6. Not allocating someone to collect keepsake items for memories (e.g., champagne cork, bouquets, food & drink menu, name place, wedding favors, etc.)
🌼 7. Not having a plan B for inclement weather if your ceremony is outdoors. Trust me, you don’t want to get a bunch of cold and stressed out guests who might even go home early because of the discomfort. ☔️🌈☀️🌨️
🌼 8. Not reserving 10 minutes during the day to have a private moment where you and your partner can be together in private and appreciate all your hard work.
🌼 9. Not sticking to a a strict timeline in the morning to avoid stress and fluster.
🌼 10. Not packing an emergency kit with stain remover, medicines, allergy tablets, needle and thread, plasters, hair clips, sanitary pads and more!
🌼 11. Going on honeymoon the day after the wedding - it’s way too tiring! ✈️
🌼 12. Picking people for your bridal party because you felt pressured to rather than because you wanted to! This will be a huge regret if you don’t listen to your heart and to your gut.
🌼 13. Not hiring RachelSomersetMusic as your violinist 🎻 on the day! This is the most biased regret on the list. 🤭🥰 ✅ Follow @rachelsomersetmusic for more wedding tips and gorgeous wedding music ideas.
